Request Assistance from a Volunteer

You can place a request any time of the day or night, but they will be processed and sent out:

9am-12 Midday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, excluding bank holidays.

Please ensure you read the below IN FULL BEFORE submitting your request, then complete this form to receive support from our wonderful community of local volunteers.

Do you need your weekly shop? A prescription? A friendly chat? A free food and essentials package? Anything else you are struggling with? That's what we're here for. Please note we are not a medical or emergency service.

This is a completely FREE volunteer-run service. Please do not submit requests for transport on this form, use the Transport Request form HERE.

PLANNING AHEAD: If you were to place a request at 12.01 on a Friday, it would be the following Tuesday before it was sent out to our volunteers. But if you place an order during the morning on a day we are open, it will go out to volunteers the same day. So it's a good idea to look ahead and consider our opening times, and what you might need before you need it!

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK? Firstly, each time you have a request, fill out the form below. Please do not telephone your volunteer directly with additional requests, fill out a fresh request for each time you require assistance. Full terms and conditions can be found HERE and must be read and accepted before you request assistance.

After you have filled out the form below and clicked 'Submit', your request will be shared with our Eccleshall Cares community on the following Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, so plan ahead! It will then be assigned to the first available volunteer. Your personal details will only be shared with the individual volunteer who is assigned to your request. Please note that the screen does appear to go blank when you submit, but if you scroll back to the top of the screen you will see confirmation.

You should never engage in finacial transactions with our volunteers under any circumstances, and our volunteers should not ask for any money in any way. If they do, please refer them to Eccleshall Cares admin. Any financial arrangements must be handled by Eccleshall Cares. Eccleshall Cares will be responsible for collecting payments from Service Users, and for reimbursing volunteers.

Payment to Eccleshall Cares can be made by bank transfer to our dedicated account:


  • Bank Transfer – Sort Code: 23-05-80 Account number: 37915548 using your job reference number as the payment reference, using the reference number from your request as the payment reference. Please note that the bank details changed on 20/04/20, please do not use the old bank details.

  • Don't have online banking? You can call us and settle-up over the phone with your debit card. Just ring the payment line on 07599 683113, 9am-12 Midday on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. If we miss your call, we'll always ring back.

Payment can be made by yourself or a friend/ family member on your behalf. Unfortunately, we do not take cash or cheques.

Do not invite volunteers into your home, our volunteers do not expect you to open the door to them. Please adhere to Government guidelines on social distancing at all times.

PLEASE NOTE ECCLESHALL CARES IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE. If you require urgent medical assistance, please use the emergency services in the normal way.
